Every find you log — photos, voice notes, GPS coordinates, hardness, luster and field notes — is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. It is not uploaded to our servers and we cannot read it.
Deleting the app data from your browser, or using the Delete controls inside the app, permanently removes those records. Use the Backup button to keep your own JSON copy.
If you create an account we store your email address, an authentication identifier and the date your 3-day trial started. This is used only to sign you in and to know whether your Pro license is active.
You can request deletion of your account and associated records at any time by contacting us.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We keep a record of the purchase (session identifier, product, amount, currency, date) so we can restore your lifetime license on a new device.
Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
When you use AI identification, the selected photo is sent to our AI provider for analysis and a suggestion is returned. Photos sent for identification are not used to build a public profile of you and are not stored by us after the request completes.
If you prefer full privacy, skip AI identification — the rest of the app works entirely offline.
GPS coordinates are only captured when you explicitly tap the location button on a find. They are saved with the find on your device and shown on your private map. They are never shared.
We use only the storage strictly required to keep you signed in and to hold your field log. We do not run advertising trackers.
